OVERVIEW

• Participants will have up to 90 minutes to create a sand castle or sculpture.
• Refreshments
• Judges will determine winners using a simple rubric
• Ribbons for first, second, third place and one grand prize
• Treat bags for kids

RULES

• Sculpture: you are not limited to building a sandcastle; you can make any sculpture you wish
• Building materials: You can build with only sand and water. To add interest, you may add natural items collected on the beach (e.g., rocks, driftwood, shells, etc.)
• Tools: you can use your hands, shovels, pails, rakes, sticks, etc. You may not use: food colouring, paint, adhesives, non-beach or man-made items.
